The falls of senior people at home surroundings and their preventions

The tittle: The falls of senior people at home surroundings and thein preventions The goal: The goal of this theses was to finf out the degrese of seniors knowing at preventative moves which can avoid falls and through question forms to analyze how the information about danger from the falls at home surroundings influenced the seniors effort to modify their homes. The mothod: At my thesis I used the mothod of quantity analyses. I obtained the data through questionn aires. The interviewed respondents are senior people at age of 65 and more. I interviewed 130 respondents in total and Theky were dividend into 2 groups according to the age or purposes of this thesis. In the first group are seniors between 65 and 74 and the other group is represented by people at age 75 and more. The questionnaire contained 23 questions and was split u pinto 6 domains. The first free questions were related to personal datas and social background of seniors. Next free questions find out the fall at anamnesis and the others are directed to home safeness, foreknowledge about preventive moves and the reslting behavior of respondents in relation to Pasove increase of home safeness. Effect of modificated massage technique on mental state of elderly persons

Title: Effect of modificated massage technique on mental state of elderly persons. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out if he has modified the massage in the neck, shoulders, upper limbs and upper back pain, affect pain perception and on the psychological status of the elderly. Methods: This bachelor thesis is based on empirical research, which was attended by 6 seniors from a senior citizens home: 4 women and 2 men, with ages ranging from 78-91 years. 10 modified 15-minute massage of neck, shoulders, upper limbs and upper back, was carried out in the home of seniors, and twice a week, for 5 weeks. A visual analogue scale (VAS) was used before and after each modified massage. In addition, the Poms questionnaire was used at the beginning of 1. weeks before the intervention and at the end of 5. a week after the intervention. Also, surveys with open questions were used after the completion of the entire research. Results: According to the evaluation tool - (VAS) of the visual analogue scale, there was a general reduction in pain in the area of the neck, shoulder and upper back. Senior citizens in residential institutions in the Czech Republik and Austria

The bachelor's thesis describes the approach to seniors in senior residences in the Czech Republic and in the federal state of Salzburg in Austria. The thesis is divided into theiretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the concepts of old age, aging process, changes in the process of aging and covers also the adaptation process to aging. The further part describes the concepts of activisation and activisation programs as important element influencing the quality of life in senior residential homes. Further it describes the set of activities of seniors, the offer of activation programs. The practical part is focused on description of two concrete senior residential homes. The research used the method of multiple case studies. The objective was to determine whether the seniors are satisfied with the caretaking personell approach and how they perceive the offer of activation programs. The thesis shows the approach to care of senior people in both countries.
Concept of Sensory activation - a modern approach in care of senior people suffering from dementia

The thesis deals with the concept of sensory activation from Lore Wehner as the new approach in care of senior people suffering various levels of dementia. In the beginning there are described cognitive, physical and emotional changes that are typical for the eldery people. Further the changes in the social status of elderl people, their values and issues with adaptation to new situation in old age. Second part describes the residential senior homes and social care standards. In the next part are described concepts used in activation of seniors, the main focus is given to the Concept of sensory activation by Lore Wehner, its princples and objectives. The bachelor thesis evaluates the the importance of the said concept in the current senior care and its contribution to improvement of quality of life of senior people affected by various degree of dementia.
